Add Copperplate CC Font

Hi y’all, I want to distribute tonguetoquill-usaf-memo to Air Force users with the Typst app. Our writing handbook specifies Copperplate Gothic Bold for the letterhead and Times New roman for the body. I am using Copperplate CC and TeX Gyre Termes as drop-in clone substitutes for these proprietary fonts.

Unfortunately, my users need to manually upload Copperplate CC to their web app projects which is high-friction. Is it possible to include this open-source font in the web app?

I believe the correct channel for feature requests to the webapp is here

(I’ve moved this to general as, even though it’s a question of a sort, it can’t be answered in the same way as a support question, so I moved it to General. This is a bit of a grey area, but I think it makes more sense than letting this sit as an unanswered question.)

Sorry about the bad etiquette. Issue created here: https://github.com/issues/created?issue=typst|webapp-issues|718

Perhaps a faster/more guaranteed way of getting the font installed would be to get the web app hosted on premise, and have the font installed there. Though I am not sure how on-premise hosting works. Typst: Pricing

That’s probably very expensive. The cheaper way would be to get typst pro and include the font in a private template. Universe can’t contain fonts, but private packages don’t go through universe

Yeah, Typst pro is pretty affordable. I’m just gonna let them decide whether to purchase the subscription.

(to be clear, if the memos are shared, creating a team only requires one person to have pro. Create the private template in there, and every team member can create new memos from it.)
