Aesthetic way to typeset carons for long things?

Hello!

Let $A_x := {i in {1, dots.c, 5} | x in (H - E_i)^caron}, B_x := {i in {1, dots.c, 5} | x in caron(2 H - sum_(j != i) E_j)}$.

Both these two styles look ugly. How can I make it more aesthetic?

Thanks to @Enivex, this looks better:

$(a+b) caron$
