It appears that Typst does not quite support citing forthcoming items with ‘forthcoming’ as its date. Here’s the .bib:

Instead, it renders like this (with style="apa"):
The CSL file doesn’t seem to be the problem, because when I convert the bib file into CSL-JSON and load it onto the CSL visual Editor, it comes out correct. It seems the problem lies at Typst’s end.
