The official venues for discussing anything about Typst are this forum and our Discord server. These are moderated and operated by the Typst team, with generous help from community moderators.
There are further, unofficial places where community members gather. These can be especially useful for people that would like to discuss Typst in their native language rather than English. Note that, since such initiatives are outside of our control, we can’t endorse them.
However, this thread gives you the option to promote (by posting) or discover (just by reading) these community-driven platforms. When posting about a community platform here, please briefly describe how people can join and what they can expect there.
Typst Unofficial Chinese Community Group (QQ: 793548390)
This is a Chinese-speaking community for Typst users. Our group includes many Typst users and several active developers from the Typst community, such as @Enter-tainer, @Myriad-Dreamin, @OrangeX4, and @pg999w .
Here you can discuss Typst-related questions and receive answers in Chinese. Additionally, we have subgroups for developers and a Telegram group, which you can find in the group announcements after joining.
ctypst · GitHub is a much smaller org, and the main contributor joined the QQ group shortly after creating the org.
Japanese / 日本語
Japanese people have been working constantly on docs translations for months. They have a rigorous review process: Nearly every PR I saw has been approved by at least two people.
In addition, an invitation link to くみはんクラブ (typesetting club) on Discord is available on the website.
(I have made this post a wiki. If you are Japanese, you can improve the above description.)
Not a community-driven platform dedicated to Typst, but there’s some discussion in Hebrew on the fediverse, tagged under #טייפסט. (Who am I kidding? It’s 99% me… )
