Is there a way to merge existing PDF files I have on my computer?
I don’t think Typst is a great way to merge PDF files (but it could be better in future versions, with the way things are developing).
If the aim is just to merge PDF files, I’d recommend using pdfarranger for this which is an open source application, but then it’s not related to Typst at all.
Hi. Not possible. With the next version, you can probably do this by manually inserting a specified range of pages from each PDF file via for n in range(1, N + 1) { image("file.pdf", page: n) }
. When you can read the number of pages (manually, you already can do this) or directly provide a range, this can be done automatically. Though probably still not the right tool for the job.
The tool I use for such things is pdftk
.
typst does actually have a PDF merger, though it’s only available as a tool via browser Merge PDFs Online
OK COOL everybody thanx for these responses I may try all of these !!

If you’re looking to merge PDF files quickly and without problem I’d recommend using Softaken Merge PDF Tool. It is user-friendly even for beginners. The tool handles everything easily and preserves the original formatting of your documents so you won’t lose any content or quality. It also works offline which is best for privacy. I’ve used it several times for reports and project files and it is fast and reliable. Definitely a convenient solution for anyone needing to merge multiple PDFs seamlessly.
