How to type Dyula?

Je veux écrire en Dioula (ou bambara), une langue africaine. Certaines lettres ne sont accessibles sur le clavier. Y’a-t-il un package pour ça ? Qu’est-ce qui est prévu pour ces langues ?

Hello there, @Barouk, welcome to the forum. Unfortunately, the forum currently only operates in English (this can change in the future), so please use English when writing a post. This way, everyone can help you with your issue.

After translating your message, I get this:

I want to write in Dioula (or Bambara), an African language. Some letters are not accessible on the keyboard. Is there a package for this? What’s planned for these languages?

To me, this sounds like a problem with your current operating system. Typst support Unicode standard, which means you can include characters from any language in your document, but how you insert those characters in the first place is something Typst can’t help you with. Typst has a sym module where you can insert symbols listed here, or emoji characters from the emoji module listed here. All other characters should be inserted by the user.

I would advise you to search for how to write in Dioula/Bambara in your operating system on the Internet (not in this forum). Different languages and operating systems may require different steps to get the desired OS layout working.
