Is it possible to add a footnote to the content inside #place()?

Hello everyone,

I recently realized that footnotes generated inside a #place() call are not displayed if float: true. To be more precise the numbering symbol appears but the footnote itself is not displayed at the bottom of the page, as demonstrated below.

#place(top + center, scope: "parent", float: true)[
  #text(size: 18pt, weight: "bold")[This is a Title#footnote(numbering: "*")[Thank you]]
]

#pagebreak()

#place(top + center, float: false)[
  #text(size: 18pt, weight: "bold")[This is a Title#footnote(numbering: "*")[Thank you]]
]

Is it an intended behaviour?

Many thanks.

It’s not desired but it’s a problem that’s already known Footnotes are lost with `place(float: true, scope: "parent")` · Issue #5765 · typst/typst · GitHub

Thank you for the link to the relevant issue. There’s even a nice work around in there, perfect.
