Struggling with Spellcheck using the typst web.app

The template I use for my document contains the following line:
set text(font: “TeX Gyre Adventor”, size: 12pt, lang: “de”)

Spellchecking is enabled, and for my understanding set text(lang: “de”) should enable German spell checking. It is not tho, why I ended up seeking support here. Do I need to set anything else?

Maybe I am missing the obvious, still at the very beginning of my typst journey and would appreciate a small help to solve this, as I am sure I made a simple mistake.

Hi, this is not at all obvious, but spell checking is currently not available in German:

It’s a known issue (not a bug) as the web app uses a library called hunspell which relies on a rather complicated dictionary file format for spell checking. The issue stems from the fact that the only available German dictionary has a license incompatible with the web app and contacting its author to purchase the dictionary has not yet led to any results unfortunately.
