Why isn't align: bottom honored with page break in grid or table?

With the following code:

#grid(
  columns: 2,
  align: bottom,
  [#lorem(30)],[#lorem(400)])

I would expect the text in the first column to be aligned with the bottom of the text in the second column. Instead, it is at the bottom of the page before the break. (The same result is obtained with #table in the place of #grid.)

To my mind, this is wrong. How can I force the text to the bottom of the gridded area?

Might be indeed a bug. An oversight or something. Or maybe a limitation.
