Talking about Typst, the Good Way

Welcome to the Typst Forum! This is a public place to discuss Typst and help each other. Please treat the people on the Forum with respect and courtesy. You will be rewarded with a resource that can give you a big boost in your technical writing.

Ground Rules

First, let us lay out some basic rules that should ensure the well-being of all members of our community.

  1. Do not harass others, on or off the server. This especially includes sexual harrasment, LGBTQ*phobia, and racist speech. Memes to that effect are also not acceptable to post.
  2. Do not disclose personal information of others (i.e. no doxing).
  3. Do not troll, disrupt the experiences of other server members, or the moderators.
  4. Do not post any depictions or descriptions of violence.
  5. No Not Safe For Work content please (Pornography, Nudity).
  6. Please do not post advertising or self promos.
  7. Posts should be on-topic for Typst. To chat with community members about other topics, there is an off-topic channel on our Discord server.

Any breaches of these rules will not be tolerated. We pledge to remove users that are in violation of these rules. Contact us if you think another community member acted inappropriately towards you or a third party. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly.

Please note that our privacy policy and terms and conditions apply.

Your Participation Counts

This Forum derives its value from the activity of its users. By posting threads and questions, replying, bookmarking, and more, you can help yourself and other users achieve their goals with Typst more effectively. Use the Forum to improve your own experience, and everyone else’s, too.

All posts on this Forum are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, meaning that you are free to copy posts and the snippets within as long as you give attribution to the author of them.

If You See a Problem, Flag It

The Forum is operated by the Typst Team in collaboration with trusted moderators from the community. Moderators share your and our responsibility for the Forum. With your help, moderators can be community facilitators, not just janitors or police.

When you see bad behavior, don’t reply. Replying encourages bad behavior by acknowledging it, consumes your energy, and wastes everyone’s time. Just flag it. Action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.
