Is there a shorthand for Hardy's asymptotic notation symbol ≍?

Does anyone know if there is a shorthand in the symbols namespace for Hardy’s asymptotic notation?

  • Unicode character: ≍
  • LaTeX Command: \asymp

I can’t seem to find it. If not, it might be a worthwhile thing to add, as it is provided by LaTeX and frequently used in number theory and combinatorics.

Hello and welcome! I don’t think so.
Until it comes, you can use

#let hd = "\u{224D}"
#let nhd = "\u{226D}"
$
  hd\
  nhd
$

EDIT: opened a PR Add eq.equiv ≍ U+224D (equivalent to) and eq.nequiv ≭ U+226D (not equivalent to) to symbols by quachpas · Pull Request #5391 · typst/typst · GitHub
